Art Fair Philippines 2023 に出展いたします。(Booth No.15)
First we introduce Hara Nabbie, an active university student. She was the first grand prix winner of the muni Art Award sponsored by SHUKADO, the mother company of GALLERY SCENA. In her work, animals roar and two people of indeterminate gender kiss each other as if they were punching each other. She professes that “violence and eroticism” are her themes. Her raison d’etre is drastic for today’s society, where everything seems to be bound by political correctness.
And Matsumura Saki. She is trying to visualize abstract concepts with paintings with complex layers such as acrylic paint and silk screen and a three-dimensional effect. The expression that gives the illusion of the relationship between the ground and the figure, and the matiere whose unevenness is emphasized by spraying, create a cognitive gap between the viewer’s visual perception and reality.
Furthermore, Kakinuma Hiroki. He was very popular at the Art Fair Philippines where he participated in 2019 and 2020. He is good at depicting a grand panoramic world which develops between foreign materials and human beings, and abnormal days mingled with quotidian affairs. Untraceable “Bird Man” vs Human being, huge monster destroying towers and buildings vs daily life, city life vs suburban life etc.. They co-exists in mysterious harmony.
What he paints may be the scene from special effects shooting or our relationship with its shooting, or we, the tourists, strolling over indecent chaotic Asian quarters.
Finally, Hara Takahiro. He is currently teaching at Hiroshima City University while creating his own work. Based on the study of Spain’s realistic paintings, he depicts the “existence” hidden in daily life. His attitude of seeing everything, including life and death, gives universal beauty to his work. His work tells us that the beauty and the value of life are in our lives.
