We, Art Gallery SHUKADO is the unique gallery in the world which introduces mainly fine Japanese artfrom 1000 years ago to today. At this time, we introduce fantastic art works to people in Taichung. Four living artists from SHUKADO take you to different world. One of them is Kakinuma Hiroki, he depicts a grand panoramic world where foreign materials and human beings, the ordinary and the abnormality intersects. Then, Kusumi Erika, her art works, futuristic and nostalgic all at once, beckon one to the edge of a sensation of intoxication. And then Sasamoto Masaaki who depicts visionary female with storytelling embellishments. Lastly, Sugita Yohei who continuously pursues the true nature of painting. These artists form their own unique world and their world are seemed that you haven’t seen but can go there sometime. You feel a desire to talk these worlds with your family, lovers, and friends.

KAKINUMA Hiroki

Born in Tokyo in 1985, Kakinuma graduated from Musashino Art University with a master's degree in oil painting in 2011.
Kakinuma specializes in painting grand panoramas where foreign objects and humans, the abnormal and the everyday intersect.

KUSUMI Erika

Photographer and web designer Erika Kusumi is a logical and clever photography artist. Traditionally, collages are made by cutting out images from magazines and the like, but she uses material she has photographed herself and delivers calculated, unified, and remarkable images that defy visual expectations.
